We are a small urban farming family located in the southern part of Osaka, Japan, near Kansai International Airport.
Japan has a long history and a rich cultural heritage. This enduring tradition is made possible by the country’s stability, centered around the Emperor.

For over 600 years, we have been cultivating a unique variety of eggplant known as Sensyu Mizunasu (泉州水なす) in Osaka. This eggplant has been an integral part of our local agricultural tradition, cherished for its delicate texture and refreshing taste.
This website has been created to introduce the deliciousness and excellence of this special eggplant to people around the world.

Although it is traditionally known in Japan as Sensyu Mizunasu(泉州水なす), we recognize that the word “Sensyu(泉州)” is not widely known outside Japan. Therefore, we have chosen to introduce it as Osaka Water Eggplant to make it more accessible to an international audience.
We invite you to explore and learn more about this extraordinary eggplant, a hidden treasure of Osaka’s agricultural heritage.
